The latest news and happenings on poker, poker games, poker tournaments. Updates on the Circuit Events and WSOP World Championship, WPT, poker players and celebrities, and everything poker.
But let's focus on WSOP, why? because it was here that Ms. Duke gained her royal place in the world of poker. She bet and bluffed her way through the 2004 Tournament of Champions where she beat an all-male set of competitors. That included her brother and mentor, Howard Lederer, mind you dear poker followers.
Too bad she won't be playing at this years TOC, at least according to the Harrah's site. Then again the Championship Event is surely what she's focused on now. So if you're in Vegas in June or July, Ms. Duke will be in town for most of these months. If we're lucky, we might just get a good glimpse of her.
According to her own site, Ms. Duke will be playing in the WSOP No-Limit Hold'em events at these dates: June 3-15, and July 1-15 (assuming she gets to the final table, of course). We do hope she pops-up a the final table, not only for added spice to the game, but to kick some poker asses.
Nothing makes us geishas more delighted than witnessing girl power at its best. So to Ms. Duke, we raise our sake to your 2005 WSOP Championship bid!
