Poker Becomes Most Searched Term on the Web
More and more people are getting into the game of poker. Most recent proofs are the increase in ratings of poker TV coverages and the record breaking poker champion wannabes that has flooded this year's major tournaments, i.e. World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker.
Here's another clear sign: poker has become the most serached term on the world wide web. According to Lycos, one of the most popular website search engines today, the word "poker" has repeatedly ranked in the top ten searches and suddenly reached number on the June 25 list, midway thru the WSOP.
Lycos added that poker searches have dramatically increased over the last two weeks, generating a whopping 111 percent surge in interest. This means more and more Internet users search for the keyword poker.
