Aussie Wins 2005 WSOP Title!

Australian poker player, Joseph Hachem, grabs the $7.5 million pot and wins the 2005 World Series of Poker World Championship title on Saturday, July 16 at Binion's Horseshoe.
Like past champions, Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer before him, Hachem was a WSOP first timer, but the difference is Hachem, and runner-up Steve Dannenmann, was part of the less thatn 10% who actually bought in direct, and paid $10,000 to enter the event. Unlike the two who won their seats from a $40 online satellite tournament. Along with the cash, Hachem also won the coveted white gold and diamond bracelet.
