2006 WSOP Schedule Announced
Harrah's Entertainment has announced the schedule for the 2006 World Series of Poker, the world's richest poker tournament to date.
The 2005 WSOP broke records when the 45 events generated 32,341 participants from all over the world, and more than $106 million in gross money. Australian Joseph Hachem won the WSOP Championship and pocketed an unprecedented $7.5 million.
Satellites and live action will begin on June 25, 2006 while the $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship event will commence Juky 28, 2006. It will have 44 events and will be held for the second year in a row at Harrah's Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
