Joseph Hachem won his very first bid at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). He bagged the $7.5 million capturing poker's biggest prize in what became the longest final table in the history of the WSOP.

Only six hands into the two-man showdown, Joseph Hachem disposed of Steven Dannenmann when he flopped a seven-high straight. As if a sign that the battle was over, the fans in attendance began to chant, ''Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!''

When it was all said and done, Hachem's only response was, ''Thank you, America.''

The Australian's victory was so astonishing that one would never believe he was nursing a short stack of chips for almost 12 hours straight. Hachem never gave up. After 14 hours of grueling poker coming into the final round of what has been a tug-of-war between two poker giants refusing to give in to each other, Hachem dropped a bomb, bringing this poker marathon to a decisive end.

The final play unfolded with Dannenmann raising before the flop. Hachem calls before the dealer revealed a six-five-four flop. Hachem checked, Dannenmann raised the pot, betting another $700,000.

Hachem then raised to $1.7 million, as the turn, or fourth card, was revealed to be an ace and Hachem, as if the $1.7 million wasn't enough, threw in another $2 million into the pot.

Dannenmann countered by raising $5 million. Instantaneously, Hachem went all-in with more than $30 million. Hachem could either make or break with the move and as it turns out, Australian Joseph Hachem won his very first WSOP.
