Women, because of their desire for equality in today's society, have started drinking our beers and began driving our cars. Although still tolerable at first, there's still the usual beer on glasses and don't get me started about women drivers.

Nowadays, women took it to another level. Now, women have taken it to the next frontier. Holy moses! Women have started playing our poker.

There comes a time when playing poker doesn't just involve the guys anymore. Women like competition and money just as much as the next guy so don't be too surprised when a female comes along and decides to lay a can of whoop@$$ upon you and the boys. Even though I am the rookie of the bunch when it comes to poker I do know a thing or two about women.

And what happens to them when they spend most of their time in poker tables.

Winning and bluffing causes the brain to release an enzyme that causes an increase in the production of carbohydrates in the body, making a woman's belly rival that of any bartender's.

Oprah doesn't like women who play poker. Why? Oprah hates liars and poker players tend to bluff, or, lie if you will. You don't want someone as powerful as Oprah to hate you now don't you? If Oprah recommends a book, it becomes the #1 best-seller the next day. If Oprah drinks 'Juicy Juice', the stores will run out of stock in hours.

That's how powerful Oprah is.

Even Dr. Phil, Oprah's second-in-command, is powerful and he doesn't like women poker players. According to him, lying and gambling are two of the 13 telltale signs of serial murderers, that's why he stays his behind away from the poker table.

So there you have it, we can now conclude that a woman playing poker turns into a massive 400-pound giant serial killer who never gets mentioned by Oprah... ever. Nah... just kidding, I love women, but only the visually stimulating.

Kidding aside, here are just some of the women poker players who are taking over our tables.

Annie Duke, men underestimated her at the poker table, but that didn't stop her. There aren't many women in the poker world and she is undeniably one of the most popular female player today. Duke is the sister of the famed ''poker professor'' Howard Lederer and, incidentally, who taught her how to play. In 1994, her brother encouraged her to play full-time. Since then she has won a WSOP bracelet and more than half a million dollars in winnings.

Shannon Elizabeth is best known for her role as the lustrous Nadia on the 'American Pie' movie trilogy. Lately she's been visible on major poker tournament circuit sponsored by Bodog Poker.

Jennifer Tilly is the newest celebrity making waves in the women's poker circuit. She made history when she became the first Hollywood star to take home a World Series of Poker gold bracelet Ladies' No Limit Hold'em event. She then broke records again by winning the invitational 2005 WPT Ladies night. Her WPT win made her the first woman to win both the major WPT and WSOP women's events.
