Paradise Poker Million Dollar Freeroll 3 Winner

Paradise Poker has created another millionaire after their third Million Dollar Freeroll concluded on Saturday, August 19. Jason Benanzer, a 28 year-old builder who is an Oklahoma native but now resides in Greenville, Ohio, boarded a plane courtesy of Paradise Poker last Wednesday for a face-to-face final showdown with nine other online qualifiers in beautiful Costa Rica.

With only one year of poker experience under his belt, Benanzer entered the Million Dollar Freeroll final table with only one per cent of all chips in play, but aggressive play led him to be crowned online poker’s newest millionaire.

In the final hand of play, Benanzer turned over A10 with his opponent showing Q9. The players stood and shook hands while the flop came 6h Kh 3h. Neither player held a heart. The turn revealed a 4c and the river a 5h.

The Ace high held up and Benanzer won the pot and the $1,000,000 prize. Benanzer’s wife raced over to give him a big hug with their newborn Blake in her arms.

“Jason played some fantastic poker today and we are thrilled to crown him as our third $1,000,000 champion.” said Scott Butler, Vice President of Marketing for Paradise Poker. “The Paradise Poker Million Dollar Freeroll was the first free poker tournament to offer a $1,000,000 prize and we’ll continue to offer our customers the best tournaments in the industry.”

Paradise Poker’s fourth Million Dollar Freeroll has already begun with heats being played daily and the final table set to be played in a secret destination on January 20, 2007.
