Moneymaker's poker success is a real fairy tale. He was a humble accountant from Nashville, he won his seat to the 2003 WSOP by winning a $40 online satellite tournament at Poker Stars. Because he was unable to pay for his trip to the tournament, his father and a family friend sponsored him with a promise of sharing a portion of any winnings he will get. As we all know by now, Chris won the prize pool of $2.5 million beating such poker greats as Phil Ivey and Sammy Farha. Thanking lady luck, he donated part of his WSOP winnings to cancer research.
